CAMP: The Joy Sessions is a full-day creative experience centered around meaningful making, symbolic imagery, layered creativity, and the intentional practice of noticing beauty in everyday life.
Inspired by folk art traditions, meaningful words, butterflies, birds, florals, stitched details, and collected symbols of hope and curiosity, this session invites participants to spend the day creating in a relaxed, encouraging, and inspiration-filled environment.
Throughout the day, participants will explore a variety of materials and techniques that may include painted surfaces, collage, stitching, mark-making, embellishment, textile layering, and mixed-media experimentation. Rather than focusing on one rigid project, CAMP is intentionally designed to allow room for exploration, intuition, and personal interpretation while still offering plenty of guidance and creative support along the way.
At its heart, The Joy Sessions is an invitation to slow down, create intentionally, and remain connected to beauty, curiosity, and hope — even in seasons where those things must be chosen with care.
This experience is deeply process-focused. Nothing has to be perfect, and there is no single “right” outcome. Participants are encouraged to work slowly, follow what resonates with them, experiment freely, and create in ways that feel meaningful and personal. Whether you naturally gravitate toward storytelling, symbolism, texture, color, stitching, or layered composition, there will be space throughout the day to explore your own creative voice.
The atmosphere of CAMP is just as important as the projects themselves. This experience is designed to feel restorative, inspiring, and creatively energizing — a full day away from notifications, errands, expectations, and the pressure to constantly produce.
CAMP runs from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM and includes a one-hour lunch break. Lunch is on your own, with several delicious options available right here at the marketplace, making it easy to step away and return refreshed for the afternoon session.
All materials and instruction are provided. Upon arrival, each participant will receive a curated CAMP Pack filled with tools, materials, and creative supplies used throughout the session — yours to continue creating with long after CAMP ends.
This experience is best suited for adults who enjoy hands-on creativity, meaningful making, and working in a supportive, inspiration-filled atmosphere. No prior experience is required.
